Brothers B. Smith, Cummings Named as 2024 Impact Leaders
After multiple rounds of interviews and countless hours of discussion, Troy University has officially chosen 14 students to serve as Impact Leaders for the 2024 school year. The selections were initially announced on December 12th via @troyuimpact’s Instagram page. Of the 14 student-leaders selected, Sophomores Bradley Smith and Camden Cummings will represent FarmHouse this summer.
To clarify, Smith is an Accounting Major from Marietta, GA. On campus, Smith has served as the Sorrell Men’s Society Chairman of Finance and Administration, a Trojan Ambassador, the Sergeant at Arms of Troy Senate, the Co-President of the Student Culinary Council, and is part of the Sorrell College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council and the ASL Club.
“It is a huge honor to be selected as one of the 14 students to serve Troy University this upcoming summer as an IMPACT leader for new student orientation,” Smith said. “I am excited to share with these new students all of the amazing things that Troy University has to offer, and to fuel their fire as they embark on their journey here at Troy.”
Meanwhile, Cummings is a Pre-Law Major from Jemison, AL. During his two-year tenure at Troy, Cummings has served as a SGA senator, a counselor for The Living Stones Church Retreat, and on the YMCA Collegiate Legislature.
“Being selected for Impact is very special to me,” Cummings said. “Being selected out of the many applicants to be trusted in being the freshmen classes first experience at Troy is very encouraging and uplifting. I’m super excited and can’t wait for the summer to get here!”
This summer, Smith, Cummings, and the other 12 Impact Leaders will be tasked with guiding incoming students around campus, to register for classes for the Fall 2024 semester, to get their Trojan ID card, and to get to know all about Troy’s 150+ student organizations. The first Impact session will be from June 10-11, and there will be eight total sessions throughout June and July.
