FarmHouse Troy Chapter Repeats as Ruby Cup Winners at 2023 FLI
From January 4th to 6th, the annual FarmHouse Leadership Institute was held in St. Louis, Missouri. During that time, all 32 active chapters attended FLI, and their chapter officers and advisors learned more about their roles, built connections with other FarmHouse members, learned valuable leadership skills, and set strategic goals for their chapter.
Similarly, the chapter awards for 2023 were announced on January 5th, and the Alpha Pi Chapter of FarmHouse at Troy University won The Ruby Cup for the second straight year and the fourth time in school history.
“Once again, FarmHouse Fraternity is reflecting the high standards that have made the organization a vital part of student life at Troy University,” said Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr. “I’m immensely proud that the chapter has captured the Ruby Cup for the second year in a row and would point to them as an example of what is right within America’s Greek System.”
In addition, Troy FarmHouse also won the Most Outstanding Philanthropy Award, the Most Outstanding Community Service Award, retained its 3-star Excelsior Level Chapter status, and met its Tier 2 Recruitment Goal for the past year.
“Winning the Ruby Cup is the highest award any FarmHouse Chapter can receive. When we won the Ruby Cup last year, it seemed like we already had our sights set on keeping it in Troy again,” said Garrett McKeon, a Senior risk management major from Buford, GA who served as chapter president from 2022-2023.
To top it all off, the chapter averaged more than $700 raised for philanthropy per member and averaged more than 40 community service hours per member. Of the 32 chapters. Troy FarmHouse was one of just three chapters to complete all the requirements set by FarmHouse International.
To start 2024, FarmHouse has hosted Rush Events all week at the House in preparation for Spring Rush. The list of events can be found on @farmhousetroy’s Instagram page.
