FarmHouse raises over $18,000 during ‘26 Philanthropy week

TROY, AL- From April 19-23, FarmHouse organized its annual spring Philanthropy week. Led by Vice President of Philanthropy Zach Geiger and his assistants Wade Awbrey and Jared Wesolek, the chapter raised over $18,000 through several spirit nights, Floats and Goats, and its 28th annual Crawfish Boil. FarmHouse continued their support in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the former which began in 2023.

Throughout the week, the chapter partnered with several different businesses for spirit nights, which donated a certain percentage of sales made throughout the allocated time. The businesses that partnered with FarmHouse included West Walnut Cookie Co, Los Hermanos, Fuse Coffee, Sips Beer Garden and Food Court, Echo Nutrition, and Moe’s BBQ. In addition, FarmHouse hosted its first-ever Floats and Goats event on Tuesday on the back quad on campus, where students, faculty, and anyone on campus could purchase a ticket and come pet baby floats and enjoy an ice cream float in further support of the AFSP.

“Philanthrophy week is particularly important to us because we lost one of our own brothers to Suicide in the fall of 2023 and we’ve decided to commit the four years of him being in college with us to our Philanthrophy and to support everyone that knew him and what he stood for,” said chapter President Colton Lindsey.

To conclude their Philanthropy week, FarmHouse hosted their 28th annual Crawfish Boil on Sorority Hill from 5-8 PM. In total, Troy FarmHouse raised around $5,000 and had nearly 450 people buy tickets and come to the event. During the event, music artist Cody Wallace provided live music throughout the night and Alpha Delta Pi’s Katherine Gorton was named the ‘26 Crawfish Queen after raising $935 via CrowdChange.
