FarmHouse Selects Alpha Gamma Delta Sisters Gracie Smith, Gracy Black as ‘24 Chapter Sweethearts
On Sunday, Troy FarmHouse officially announced Alpha Gamma Delta’s sisters Gracie Smith and Gracy Black as the Chapter’s 2023-2024 Chapter Sweethearts. With that, Smith and Black are the first sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta to win FarmHouse’s chapter sweetheart since Kimberly Guiler won in 2020-2021.
Over the past year, Smith and Black have committed to participating in FarmHouse’s philanthropic events, fundraisers, date parties, and formal, while being outgoing, kind, and involved individuals on campus. Both Smith and Black have exemplified the values FarmHouse stands for, as well as remaining in good standing as Sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta.
Smith is a Junior Marketing Major with a Dance Minor from Dothan, AL. On campus, Smith is the marketing chair for the Women in Business Club, the Public Relations Coordinator for the Student Alumni Association, and the Publicity Assistant Manager for Troy Theatre and Dance Audience Engagement.
“I can’t describe how thankful I am for the genuine friendships I have gained within this amazing brotherhood. They will always hold such a true and special place in my heart,” Smith said. “Becoming their sweetheart with my best friend has truly been such an honor for us and I’m so grateful to be able to grow and make memories with these amazing men!”
Black is a sophomore Global Business Marketing Major from Birmingham, AL. On campus, Black is the Executive Vice President of the Student Alumni Association, the Vice President of Programs for the Troy Marketing Club, a member of the Residential Hall Association, and a member of The Fortress. In addition, Black served as the Director of Community Involvement for Alpha Gamma Delta from 2022-2023.
“The brothers of FarmHouse have honestly been at the core of some of my favorite memories in college! They care so deeply about what’s important to them and are an example to all of true brotherhood,” Black said. “I am so honored that they have chosen me, alongside my best friend, to be their chapter Sweetheart and to be able to pour back into them what they’ve given to me!”
It’s worth noting that Smith was nominated by Alpha Gamma Delta to run for FarmHouse’s ‘24 Crawfish Queen. In total, Smith raised $2,145 in support of FarmHouse and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
“I feel so much gratitude to have been given the opportunity to spread awareness and help raise money for their philanthropy this year,” Smith said.
